There comes a time in every person's life when they realize they are closer to the end of it than the beginning. For many of us, this realization hits at about the age of 50.
Now that I'm closer to 60 than I am to 50, I am noticing more and more that there are stories I need to scribble down so that memories of people in my past don't die with me.
Having had parents that were older than the norm, what with my Dad being 57 and my Mom about to turn 30 when I made my entrance into the world, by the time I was aware enough to ask good questions about their lives, they were gone.
This whole "write it down NOW" thing really came to a head this year, when my baby brother walked out into his garden and just keeled over dead for no apparent reason. Talk about a wake up call, I guess you could say I got one.
So this opportunity to have this particular domain name was just too serendipitous to ignore. The stories you'll find here may not be polished, but I promise you they will be as honest as I can tell them while maintaining my family's privacy. After all ... they had no idea I was going to grow up and be a writer, especially one with a lot of notes from years gone by.
I hope you find my stories worthy of your time and I hope you enjoy them enough to want to come back.
